Pakistani Travel Agent at the Center of Espionage Network Targeting Indian Influencers

New Delhi, June 5 – A woman running a travel agency in Lahore has come under serious scrutiny after being identified as a central figure in a covert operation to recruit Indian social media influencers for intelligence activities on behalf of Pakistan.

According to reliable sources, the woman, Noshaba Shehzad, operates a company called Jaiyana Travel and Tourism. Investigations suggest she has been working closely with Pakistan’s intelligence agency, the ISI, and has played a key role in setting up a secret network aimed at targeting Indian citizens, particularly Hindu and Sikh influencers.

It is believed that Shehzad received direct instructions from both the ISI and the Pakistani Army to expand this network in India. She reportedly facilitated connections between Indian social media personalities and senior ISI or military officials across the border.

Despite the absence of any formal tourism process between India and Pakistan, Shehzad was instrumental in securing visas for Indian visitors. Her recommendations were often enough for the Pakistani High Commission to grant entry, especially during religious pilgrimages. However, behind the scenes, she charged excessive fees for these arrangements and allegedly diverted those funds to support propaganda campaigns operated by Pakistan.

Sources further link her to Danish, also known as Ehsan-ur-Rehman, a former visa officer at the Pakistani embassy who was recently expelled from India following the arrest of Indian national Jyoti Malhotra on charges related to espionage.

In a strategic move to widen her reach, Shehzad also hired Indian travel agents based in Delhi and other cities to promote her firm on social media—positioning it as a pilgrimage-friendly travel service, while in reality using it as a tool for surveillance and influence-building.

Indian intelligence agencies are now investigating all links tied to Shehzad and have begun tightening their watch on foreign-backed influence operations aimed at undermining national security through social media.
